Our component parts, resistance coil wire, magnesium oxide, Incoloy 800 tubing and electrical connections, are sourced from around the world, generally from their countries of mining or origin. Then they are assembled here in England by a team of highly trained, skilled & motivated staff who take a real pride in their work (letting them knock off at 1pm on Fridays helps enormously!)

And because we manufacture here in Dear Old Blighty, you can have stock items in a coupla days, & bespoke goods in a coupla weeks.

We have become overly used to cheap prices for goods manufactured East of here. At HEUK, we are not cheap. We are Positively Proudly British. And generally, exceedingly cheerful. Training and paying skilled people, proper wages, paying for high quality raw materials, resulting in products that will exceed your expectations.

###Important Information###

The more flexibility you have in terms of power rating and length, the higher the likelihood of finding a readily available element in stock. Having items in stock streamlines the process, making it both quicker and easier. If you need STRAIGHT or NARROW U-BENT elements (i.e., <=50mm fixing centers), the lengths will need to be relatively close. However, if we can incorporate a W-shaped element (as shown in Figure 17 in the drawing on the right), it allows for variability in the “middle leg” based on the lengths available on the shelf. Similarly, being open to adjusting the power rating enhances our ability to swiftly and cost-effectively meet your requirements. For instance, if we don’t have enough 1000w elements at the moment, being willing to consider 1250w, 1333w, or perhaps 750w provides us with more options for immediately accommodating your needs.

If there is no flexibility in the specifications, we can custom-make elements to meet exact requirements. These elements undergo a process of filling, rolling, annealing, and overnight drying in an oven tailored to your specific needs. However, this customization is likely to extend the lead time by approximately one week. For larger quantities of elements, such as 30 or more, this won’t significantly impact the price. However, for manufacturing runs with lower volumes, the cost is expected to rise significantly. Less elements cost more. It’s essential to be aware of these factors and consider them in advance of our conversation. My aim is to ensure your satisfaction, akin to the positive experiences shared by all the satisfied customers in our Testimonials. I look forward to adding your feedback to our growing and glowing repository.

ElementsOfHeating – Our Blog – Heating Element Manufacturer UK

On our blog, ElementsOfHeating, started in 2014, you’ll find a rich source of pertinent and valuable information. This includes an explanation of what a heating element is. And my best attempt to explain the significance of watt density. Particularly when selecting the most suitable heating elements for water, oil, and breweries. Generally, for water that is either naturally soft water, or softened using an appropriate method, it is acceptable to have a watt density of up to 80 w/in². Conversely, in regions like the UK where hard water is common, it is advisable to keep the watt density at or below 40 w/in². This precautionary measure is taken to prevent the accumulation of magnesium and calcium on the heating element, which could impede heat dissipation and lead to the buildup of debris, ultimately causing the element to fail. When dealing with light oils such as cooking and seed oils, a watt density of 25 w/in² is deemed acceptable. However, for heavier industrial oils, a lower density of 12 w/in² is recommended. In simpler terms, ensuring that the heating element has sufficient space is critical to its proper functioning and longevity.
